Recently, we had the opportunity to work our magic in a home in Palm Beach. This home is in a lovely community and needed a bit of updating…and it belongs to my mother-in-law, Dolores. The interior of her home had been painted white many years ago. Being that she resides in sunny South Florida we decided that her home needed a lot of bright color.
Now, you know how much we love a great deal. We purchased 15 yards of this fabric for just $18.95! We loved the colors and the tropical theme.
We then gathered everything we thought we could possible need for our trip south…artwork, accessories, pillow, lamps, sewing machine – well, you get the idea 🙂
The paint reveal…decidedly, a bright color but we were confident that the room, and Dolores could take the change.
Dolores was surprised with a delivery of new furniture from Honey Bee – her son 🙂
We just loved this fresh green color. It really brightened the room and brought it to life.
Vicki painted this piece for the home…
The transformation was amazing. The room seems larger and more vibrant now. Other than the new furniture most accent pieces and accessories were thrift store finds or were items crafted by us. We made the curtains, repurposed the lamps, painted the petunia painting and made a pillow.
This is what Dolores had to say…
“I can’t thank you enough for all of your hard work. The house is beautiful and I love my new furniture. The accessories and paintings really bring the room together. I never could have done this myself. Your creativity and energy amaze me. Thank you.”
Needless to say we were thrilled to do this project and so happy that she loves the end result as much as we do! What do y’all think of our makeover?
