Hey y’all…today we thought we would have a little bit of fun and share with you some of the tools of our trade. Here is our list of what we feel are the 5 must have apps for home decor. We use these apps every week, sometimes every day. WARNING…a couple of these are addicting! You will see why in a minute.

Benjamin Moore Color Capture®

Have you ever been out to lunch and fell in love with the wall color in the restaurant? Or you want to paint your bedroom with the perfect shade of blue that is on your favorite shirt…but you can’t ever find the perfect paint color?

Benjamin Moore has created this perfect app and has taken all of the searching and guess work out of your perfect paint color search.

It is so easy to use. We took this photo of flowers on the mantel…we just love the coral color. Within seconds the Benjamin Moore paint color is selected as a perfect match! Isn’t that fantastic? This is one of the addicting apps we were telling you about 🙂 You can literally snap pictures of anything that catches your eye and it can be color matched to 3,500 paint colors.

Like That Decor and Furniture 

Free for iPhone and iPad

Did you  know that you can shop by simply taking a photograph? How fun (and addicting) does that sound? If you see something you like or want, simply take a photo of it with your phone and this app. Within seconds you are given different options, locations and price. Yes, our minds were blown too!

As an example, I took a photo of this pretty jardiniere at my house.

Within seconds this list came up. Trust us…we’ve wasted lots of times with this app!

 

iHandy Level

Free – iPhone    

Android users Free

This is a great tool to have on your phone…a mobile level. No need to go to the garage and get your tool kit. Instead, just turn on your app. It’s terrific when you are hanging anything in the house or if you just want to check to be sure that your artwork is hanging straight.

 

Homestyler Interior Design

Free – iPhone and iPad

This is an awesome app! You can create your room before you ever put anything in it. This is also great to see what a new piece of furniture will look like in your room before you make the expensive purchase. You can achieve a full 3-D view.

You can also measure out your space with the click of a button push.

 

Moodboard

$9.99 for iPad

This app does have a fee but we think that it is so worth it. We create mood boards for any ideas that we have for new decor or client projects.

This is just a quick board that we put together so that you can get the idea of what you can create for your dream room.
