Decorating a Blue and Green Christmas Dining Room.

Typically when I decorate my home for Christmas, an unintentional theme seems to emerge. This year, I found myself using a lot of blue and green. If you missed the other posts, you can catch up here with Blue and Green Christmas Tree and Decorating Ideas and Blue and Green Christmas Mantel Decor. It only seemed fitting to continue this theme with a blue and green Christmas dining room.

Put it to good use

Needless to say, the dining room isn’t getting much use this year. No need for any fancy tablescapes or place settings. I chose to keep the table simple by creating an easy evergreen centerpiece

I love the sparkle of this mercury glass vase. Clippings from my own yard were added to water.

If you have followed 2 Bees in a Pod for awhile, then you know how much Jenn and I love bottlebrush trees. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. This means that you can sprinkle them in your holiday decor, in every room. These silvery, blue ones are my current favorites.

The frosted green ones are a close second.

I didn’t change too much on the sideboard. Blue and white are so crisp and vibrant together.

I hung a boxwood wreath from the mirror. Other additions are blue glass cylinder cone trees. Miniature white trees were added to each side of the sideboard.

My dining room chairs have these pretty brass rings on the back.

Using leftover ribbon from my stash, I hung miniature boxwood wreaths from each chair.

As I have said before, I didn’t buy anything new. I used what I already had in my stash. By collecting and sorting through my Christmas decor, I noticed that I had a lot of blue and green.

Look through your Christmas stash and see what inspires you. Maybe you have a lot of red and silver. Or maybe pink and gold. Whatever color combination, it will be beautiful!

I hope that you have been inspired in some small way. Send us a photo of your Christmas decor. We would love to see it!
