Vintage Christmas Postcard Gift Tags – Free Printable

I always love a bit of vintage in my decor, especially at Christmastime. Today I am sharing my love with you! Here is a free printable for vintage Christmas postcard gift tags.

My vintage Santa postcards are one of my treasured collections. These cuties are the real deal – some of them date as early as 1890! The graphics and coloring are so crisp and beautiful.

The backsides of postcards are just as beautiful, in my opinion.  Look at this cute Santa sticker. You can learn so much from the postcard – names, addresses and dates. In these examples the postcards are 110 years old!

Usually I display the cards on my Christmas tree each year. I am very careful to never bend them.

This year, I wanted to showcase the cards even more. With a little bit of computer magic, I combined some postcard graphics from the front and added them to the back of a postcard with French lettering found on the Graphics Fairy.

Don’t worry – none of the original postcards have been altered or harmed in anyway! They were merely scanned and I digitally did the rest.

Cut and Use

Below, you will be able to print out the postcards for your own use – non-commercially that is. Remember, everyone’s printers are different. You can fill the print page or change the percentage size of the print if need be.

Think of using them as gift tags or decor.

I created three different color variations, depending on the level of aging you prefer.

Aren’t these the cutest tags?

The small postcards are perfect to tie onto a gift bag.

  1. These really are darling. Thank you for sharing them and for the wonderful ideas. I’ve often decorated one of my trees with my vintage holiday postcard collection but I never thought of using them for tags! Collecting vintage cards is such fun, isn’t it? My favorite fine? One of our old family cottage written by my grandmother to her next door neighbor in 1940. It was at an antiquarian book and paper show and when I saw it, I stood at the booth and cried!

What a lovely spot to be here at your blog. Thank you for the smiles. You have a new subscriber.
