Our DIY Housewives Series is back this month with all things green. Today our group is sharing 12 Spring Green DIY Projects.

Lately we can’t go anywhere without hearing someone discuss the weather. Locally our temperatures dropped 30 degrees this past Thursday in just a few hours. The cooler temps were accompanied with crisp, bright blue skies and sunshiny days. Personally we love the cooler weather. We feel energized and ready to usher-in the new season. It seems most of us have some form of Spring Fever. For us when the fever hits, it’s time to create. If you’re the same way here’s 12 spring green DIY projects.

Just to refresh your memory – this DIY Housewives Series is a chance for us to look back at an old post of ours that you may have missed. At the end of this post you will get to see 11 other fabulous projects from the rest of the group. We promise you that you will not be disappointed!

A Microwave Cart that Became A Bar Cart

After one of our moves, this microwave cart was relegated to the laundry room. Our new kitchen had a built-in microwave and we no longer needed the use of this cart. It sat in the laundry room for a few years holding miscellaneous supplies. Finally, one day inspiration struck and an idea was born. Let’s turn this microwave cart into an outdoor bar cart!

Green Apple metallic paint was the front runner. Typically we would run from metallic paints, but we had seen this paint firsthand at a conference and fell in love with it. Plus we felt it looked more shimmery than metal-looking if that makes sense LOLSee how pretty it looks?
Two coats of paint were added as well as a protective topcoat. We also changed out the drawer hardware.

The microwave cart already had rolling caster wheels which makes it perfect for a bar cart makeover. Outdoor entertainment is made easy because we can roll the cart around the deck when guests come over.

Neither one of us can remember where the fabulous metal “F” came from, but we both fight for custody LOL.

Being that the cart has two lower shelves it is perfect for housing glassware and bottles.
Quite the transformation, don’t you think? We hope you enjoyed our look back at our green DIY project.

Now let’s take a look at all 12 Spring Green DIY Projects. Which is your favorite?

    1. Hey CoCo-
We certainly appreciate it! That bar cart makeover was accomplished while Vicki was in a wheelchair and Jenn came over on a weekend. Quite the collaboration! Such memories 🙂 Much Love.
