A DIY Christmas cookie bag for neighbors and friends is a fun and unique gift.
Happy Friday friends! Have you had a good week? We hope that you have been enjoying the Christmas inspiration that we have been sharing. Jenn is currently traveling in London and Ireland for her day-job. I’m holding down the 2 Bees home front which is rumored to experience snow or at least a snowy mix later today. Yes, I think this is very good and exciting news! It is such a rare occurrence for snowfall in our area so I hope that it really does happen! Earlier this week I shared these super easy gingerbread cookies. Now I want to share a great way to gift them with a DIY christmas cookie bag for for neighbors and friends.
Make a bag
Using remnants from a bleached drop cloth, I sewed pieces together to make simple 8×10 cookie bags.
Following is the graphic and printable that I created. This is made in a PDF file. You must print this in reverse or mirror image onto iron-on transfer paper. You can use THIS one. Then iron it onto your bags.
To decorate the bags I used vintage cookie cutters, house cookie cutters from Hearth and Hand, miniature ornaments and ribbon.
The gingerbread cookies were placed in zip lock baggies before they were added to the cookie bags.
I wrapped everything up at the top and then tied it all up with a pretty bow.
Now, I know that I love getting sweet treats from my neighbors. If I got sweet treats, a super cute bag and a vintage cookie cutter I would be over the moon!
In all honesty the DIY Christmas cookie bag for neighbors and friends don’t take much time to make. Especially if you use the ready made bags. I’ve done all of the work for you with the printable and shopping links 🙂 If you don’t want to use this printable think about adding the recipe of your cookies instead!
Do you and your neighbors or friends exchange treats or baked goods for the holidays? This would be such a fun new way to make a presentation instead of a box or a baggie.
