Hey there and happy Wednesday! Are y’all surviving this crazy Winter weather? We had a small dusting of snow, sleet and ice here in Atlanta – nothing like a lot of you up North experience with your heavy snowstorms. Here in the South this kind of weather shuts the city down and gets our local weather professionals very excited. We are prepping for another round of ice and snow this afternoon, which I must say makes me a bit giddy 🙂
Now, I know that when a storm is approaching most normal people visit the grocery store and stock up on milk, bread, batteries, firewood and other necessities. Well, Honey Bee and I aren’t normal people 🙂 We make sure we have wine, snacks, desserts and cheese. If by chance our home loses power, we don’t plan to suffer 🙂 So, last night in preparation of said ice storm I made Goat Cheese, Bacon and Pistachio Cheese Ball!
This appetizer is super easy and quick to make. It’s one of those dishes that looks like you went to a lot of trouble, but you really didn’t!
I mixed all of the ingredients in my grandmother’s vintage Butterprint bowl and used by new measuring spoon shaped like a Mason jar. Cooking can be pretty!
I poured the goat cheese crumbles into the bowl…
…and added black pepper
…and yummy bacon!
So, think of us during the storm later today – savoring this delicious cheese ball with a glass of wine by the fireplace. Hope you enjoy that bread and milk LOL.
