It’s our first Christmas in the new home and one of the first things I wanted to decorate for the holidays was the entryway. It’s what most people will see for our decor and I didn’t want the new neighbors to judge us for not having décor up soon enough haha!  I wanted to go with a rustic and vintage look…shocking I know y’all!  I was able to pull most elements of items I already have, which I love.

Another awesome treat and early Christmas present is the wreath and garland I received from Tree Classics! This definitely got me in the mood to get decorating 🙂 I went with the Austrian Spruce Garden Berry and absolutely love it! It adds a little pop of color with the red and purple berries and it really does look like it is made with live greenery.  The best part? It’s battery operated lights up on a timer, so at 5:30pm it automatically comes on and I don’t have to worry about it. Love it!

I do think these berries make this wreath…

This vintage sled is so amazing…it’s another piece I’m “borrowing” from mom.

I really wanted to go with traditional colors on the front porch and the red really pops. I made this rustic sign last year and I still love it. And the vintage box is for letters to Santa of course 🙂

Who doesn’t love these lanterns? They are perfectly rustic and it’s fun to add ornaments for a little pop of color.

I’ve also played around with the placement of the garland and am kind of loving it hung over the vintage sled. Here it is all lit up at night..

  1. Love the porch Jenn! The cheery pops of red really make it stand out and feel festive. The wreath and garland are beautiful too. Great job ladies! Hugs, CoCo

  2. Great porch. The wreath and garland make a festive statement.

  3. Adorable porch Jenn and yes, that wreath is gorgeous! I’m so jealous that you live in a neighborhood where you were worried about getting holiday stuff up fast enough!!!

    1. People in our neighborhood tend to go all out for Christmas décor, so we definitely felt like we had to keep up 🙂 Thanks Karen!

  4. Jenn, your porch looks beautiful!! I love it!!! Happy Holidays, Lisa

  5. Love what you did on your porch, Jenn! The red and green work well with the style of your porch, adding to its countryside charm. I think you have a mastery of rustic elements; every detail is just right—it feels as if everything is in its right place. It’s hard not to like your gorgeous porch! I love the subtle touches you added, like the vintage mailbox. I especially liked the lantern filled with red ornaments; so simple yet to-die-for!
