As I shared with y’all yesterday, I have the post Christmas blues. But to help get over my sadness that the holidays are over, I have incorporated some of my Christmas décor to transition into the new year.  It saves both money and time…my favorite! Today I am showing you how to decorate your mantel for winter.

Everything that I have used on my mantel had been used throughout my home for Christmas and I have been able to easily use the same décor elements to switch up my mantel for winter. Sometimes it takes just looking at all of the pieces you have in one area and start placing them on the mantel and rearranging things until you achieve the look you want. It’s definitely sometimes trial and error, but you’d be amazed at what you can create with the décor you already have.  Using winter whites, golds, and neutrals, I was able to achieve a simple, yet festive mantel for the new season.

Naturally using decorations that are winter white at Christmas time can easily be used after the holiday.

Aren’t these little cottages so cute?

This basket had been in my laundry room, but I decided to add it to the living room so it could be seen more often…it was too pretty to be hidden away.
