How did I come home with an end table dog bed?
It’s funny how things happen. Yesterday, I went on an impromptu shopping excursion with my friend Terri. We planned to go antiquing and thrift hunting followed by a tasty lunch. I wasn’t searching for anything in particular, but somehow I ended up buying an end table dog bed! LOL 😂Let me explain.
As you know I live in the country, and there are not many shopping options near my home.Terri and I set out early in the morning for Milledgeville, GA which is about 30 minutes from my house. Our first stop was a new-to-me antiques warehouse type of place that was filled to the brim. As hard as I tried to find something, I left here empty-handed. I’ll definitely return for another visit.
Next, we headed further into downtown to my favorite spot, The Market Collective. Shop owner, Donna, is a delight! She fills her lovely store with beautiful antiques, local made handcraft items and so much more. This is the same shop that I also buy the delicious Bloody Mary and Nada Rita mixers. Donna also offers rentals of her wares for special events – weddings, showers and parties.
Anyway, I was buzzing around the shop selecting cute postcards for artwork and a handmade fabric wallet. As I was checking out, Terri discovered a super cute end table dog bed. Y’all know how much I love my sweet boy,Gus! He’s 6 months old now and spoiled rotten, which suits me perfectly well. Anyway, I caved into peer pressure from Terri – 😂at least that’s what I told Honey Bee. The price was right and I didn’t have to do any of the DIY work! We loaded the end table dog bed into Terri’s vehicle and headed home.
I want to be perfectly clear, this is NOT my DIY. It may look like something that I would make, but this is totally someone else’s creativity.
I mean, c’mon, could Gus be any cuter? And he loves his new bed! In this video, Gus tells you himself just how great it is!
He truly leapt right in and loves sleeping in it.
The table was very damaged on its top. The entire table as painted and then distressed with what appears to be dark wax.
She’s Got Legs
Make no mistake. This table is strong, heavy and durable.
See what I mean? He really does love his new bed! Next time that you see a damaged end table, keep this dog bed idea in mind. Have you created anything lately?
