We have been keeping a little secret, but now we can shout it from the rooftops! We’ve been published in the book, She Sheds Style – Make Your Space Your Own.
Several months ago we were approached by best-selling author Erika Kotite. We were honored that she wanted to include our She Shed in her newest book She Sheds Style – Make Your Space Your Own. We have been truly blessed in our blogging journey and business with opportunities and ventures beyond measure.
Hot Off the Press
Erika lives in Huntington Beach, California and is a home and lifestyle expert. She is the co-founder of She Shed Living, a gathering space for women who enjoy life in their backyards, and She Shades, a line of chalk-based exterior paints.
Erika is also the author of She Sheds: A Room of Your Own. She is the former editor of Romantic Homes and Victorian Homes. Very impressive bio, right?
Memory Lane
We lovingly call our She Shed “The Hive”. It’s used for relaxing, socializing and entertaining.
Large barn double-doors and a new deck are the perfect greeting. Window planters are pretty too.
When the doors are opened the she shed is bright and cheerful.
Interior decor is farmhouse style, cozy and charming. An antique tobacco basket and vintage shutters look great on the wall above the sofa.
We painted the entire interior with bright white paint.
A collection of cow artwork hangs on the other wall.
She sheds style can be country french, modern, boho and more.
You can use your shed as an art studio, office, yoga retreat, reading nook, craft center – endless possibilities!
One of our favorite uses is entertaining friends for cocktail parties, happy hours and football games.
There is so much space in our shed – we are so fortunate.

Congratulations ladies, how exciting! Your She Shed looks so comfortable and inviting, and is perfect to be captured in this book, I love it!! We are kindred spirits, I have been enjoying my She Shed, affectionately known as “My Dollhouse” (there are no dolls inside) for the past 13 years! I am currently repainting, redecorating, and refreshing her interior, once again.
