Each year as the spring season arrives we are giddy with delight. Spring signals new growth, new beginnings and fresh starts. Even though in our region of the world the temps have dipped again and our trees are barren – there are definite signs that Spring is happening. Birds are happily making their nests, pollen from the conifer pines is present on our patio furniture, azaleas and dogwoods are in full bloom and the leaves of flowering bulbs have started to emerge from the ground. To bring a bit of the season into the house we created a spring green mantel.
This color is bright, fresh and makes us oh-so-happy! Our sweet friend Meg of Green with Decor loves the color green too! She created today’s blog hop for us all to share our green decor. You can visit everyone at the end of our post.
This sweet little birdie is adorable perched on the mantel.
You may not know that we absolutely love Laura Ingalls Wilder and Little House on the Prairie. We were so excited to find this vintage book!
This sign perfectly sums up our Springtime feelings.
This large green decanter was a $7.00 HomeGoods purchase a few years ago.
Whenever we spot white milk glass at thrift stores the pieces typically end up in our cart. Especially if they have a $1.00 price tag like this beauty.
Can you believe that this tall handblown vase was just $3.00 from a garage sale?
We aren’t sure what used to be in this bottle, but we love the color.
These puffy green pom poms are a whimsical and colorful touch. You can see how we made the pom pom garland HERE.
We hope that you enjoyed our spring green mantel. Please visit our friends and their fabulous homes!
