Traditional Red and White Christmas Tree Decor for the living room.

Hello friends, I am so happy that you are here! Each Christmas, I like to change up my decor. Different colors, themes, etc. In the past couple of years I have had blue and green Christmas tree decor and blue and silver. This years color combo is very different for me as I chose traditional red and white. Today we are sharing our red and white Christmas tree decor and all of its trimmings.

You are in for a treat as you will get to see 20 decorated Christmas trees. A big thank you to our sweet friend Michelle of Our Crafty Mom for organizing this Christmas tree hop every year! This is the 5th year! Did you arrive here after seeing Paula’s beautiful gorgeous flocked tree with Swarovski snowflake ornaments at Virginia Sweet Pea? Absolutely stunning!

Now, grab a mug of your favorite beverage and let the Christmas Tree tour begin!

It all starts with tree

My flocked artificial tree was purchased a few years ago at Lowe’s. Previously, I always had a real tree as the main tree of the house. When I found this one, I was hooked. It has a floor push button to turn it on and to change to 7 color settings. This was a super popular tree when I bought it for just $129.00. Sadly, Lowe’s doesn’t offer this tree anymore – but they do have THIS one and THIS one.

When thinking about my color choices, I turned to Pinterest for inspiration. Again and again, I was drawn to the traditional bright colors of Christmas, especially red and white.

Here is the tree with the lights on.

The decor started with this beautiful red and white striped wired ribbon. It reminds me of a candy cane. I wove the ribbon throughout the tree, letting it billow out from the tree limbs.

I made the personalized Christmas ornaments a couple of years ago. They are super easy, and fun to make.

Keep decor costs low with DIY ornaments

A couple of weeks ago I showed you how I made these super cute Scottie dog Christmas ornaments. This is a Dollar Tree project!

Even these cute deer are from Dollar Tree.

I fell in love with this glass snow globe ornament while shopping on a recent trip.

I made the berry vine ornaments. I’ll be sharing a tutorial with you later this week.

After taking a family poll, the vote was unanimous to not put anymore ornaments on the tree. We all love it just like this.

The pop of color is so traditional and beautiful!

Next on the tour is Crissy of First Day of Home. She will share How to Style a Classic Plaid Christmas Tree!
