This time of year, life tends to get busy and hectic. What better way to slow down with friends than with a wine tasting party?
Jenn and I hosted an in-home wine tasting party. We had so much fun!
The wine tasting is kind of like a modern day tupperware party. We had a consultant, Wanda. Bottles of wine were delivered to my home. Guests were invited . We decided to put our own spin on our decor to add a bit of flair and to make our party more festive. We pulled together discounted and sale craft items to see what we could create. The mini wooden spools reminded us of wine barrels and the enamel numbers are like the barrel tags.
- paper tags
- baker's twine
- enamel numbers
- wooden spools
- Dip paper tags into cold coffee. This can be leftover coffee - no need to make new. Set tags aside and let dry completely. After the tags are dry make sure that they look like they have a vintage and antiquated look. They may need to be dipped again.
- Write each guests name on a separate tag.
- Now the fun begins! Using baker's twine or burlap twine simply string the tag, an enamel number, a wooden spool and a charm.
- Tie and knot them to the bottom stem of each wine glass.
Let your personality shine. Use charms that depict your personality or each individual guests personality! We promise you - these wine charms are great conversation starters and guests love them!
Who wouldn’t love an afternoon filled with wine and good friends? I know that we did 🙂 Have you ever hosted a wine tasting party? We highly recommend it, especially at this time of year when life gets hectic.
