Happy first day of Spring! Today, we are so excited to share our spring coffee table vignette.

We are celebrating the arrival of the season with a Spring Festival Blog Hop, hosted by our sweet friend Kendra of Joy in Our Home. All week long 23 bloggers will be sharing all things spring in home decor. You can follow along each day this week for inspiration. If you found your way here from Carrie’s of  Curly Craft Mom, hello – so glad to have you! Today we will share our spring coffee table vignette with nests.

Coffee Table Vignette

We love creating tabletop vignettes in our homes. Vignette is just a fancy way of describing a pleasing or interesting formed grouping of several objects.  We frequently rearrange things on our shelves, mantels and tables because we just love to do it.  For our spring coffee table vignette it started with inspiration from bird nests.

Luckily we have several in our collection that have been found in nature, after the eggs have been hatched of course.

Also, we like displaying items at varying heights. This adds interest so that the viewers eye doesn’t just land at one level. This salesman sample chair makes for a perfect display shelf.

Remember this vintage cutie that we scored a few weeks ago?  We couldn’t wait to use this antique metal Easter baby chick with egg and wishbone cup engraved with “Best Wishes”. You can read all about it in THIS post. You won’t believe the deal we got! We placed it on this cupcake pedestal with some fresh moss and candy eggs under a glass cloche. It looks even better when elevated on spring-green vintage childhood books.

More nests are displayed.

A wire coat hanger end was added to a glass antique doorknob to become a photo holder. We added a vintage Easter postcard.

Collecting items on trays is the easiest way to create instant vignettes.

Thanks so much for visiting us on the tour. Next stop on the hop is the fabulous Kendra of Joy in Our Home. You don’t want to miss her creativity!

Be sure to check back each day for more spring inspiration!
