Now that the year is over, it is time to get organized with 12 organization ideas for the New Year!

What better way to start the new year, than with getting organized?! At this time of year we love to purge. I am notoriously known as a secret hoarder. Meaning I cram drawers, cabinets, and closets full of stuff. But it’s okay because no one can see it haha! The DIY Housewives are sharing some of our favorite tips and tricks for getting organized.

Getting Organized

We love organization ideas! Although we sometimes aren’t the most organized. This is what underneath my sink looked like. Hot mess! We would blindly throw things under there with no rhyme or reason. It was driving me crazy and I knew I needed to purge and reorganize. But sometimes this can feel a little overwhelming.

However, with some great tools (mainly from HomeGoods), I was able to turn the mess under my kitchen sink to an organized wonderland. I love this little bucket I found. Such a perfect spot for rags, soap, and cleaner.

I also love the pops of turquoise…

Although under the sink got clean and has stayed clean, there are still a lot of drawers that need some attention. In my quest for more organization ideas in the new year, I think I know what I’ll be doing this weekend. Anyone tackling some of your own projects in the new year? Be sure to check out some of the other great organization ideas below as well.
