Watercolor feather free printable and quote

You might recall that I am a tad obsessed with using feathers in my home decor. Like a lot. Whether they are real, bisque or painted I think they are beautiful. A couple of years ago I taught myself how to do watercolor painting and I started with feathers. It was surprisingly easy and fun – and dare I say relaxing. I thought it would be fun to take the original watercolor feather art and add a favorite fall quote to them. So, here’s the watercolor feather free printable that I created for y’all!

In the Beginning

If you haven’t tried watercolor art I highly recommend it. The supplies are very low cost and there are a lot of free tutorials and videos online.

Here are some great starter supplies

This is my very first watercolor painting. You can see the post and tutorial HERE.

After moving to the lake last year, I was decorating with more blue. Once again I brought out my trusty watercolor palette and painted feathers in hues of aqua and blues. You can see that post HERE.

Are any of you fans of Anne of Green Gables? My hand is raised up high LOL. I used to read the books and I was a big fan of the old show on PBS. That’s actually where the inspiration came from for this project. I just love this quote: “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are October’s”. Isn’t that beautiful? I feel grateful for that too!

Because I couldn’t decide on a favorite feather, I made one watercolor printable in orange and one in blue. You can click on the graphics or the PDF links. I promise you, when you print them out the watermarks will not be on your art 🙂

Just for a reference, I quickly print out the orange watercolor onto card stock paper so that you could get an idea of what it might look like in your home. Personally, I think the printable looks better when printed on thicker paper.

My sincerest wish is that you are having a happy day and enjoying the start to your October.

  1. Hey, just a minor thing – there’s actually no apostrophe in Octobers in that quote.

    1. Thank you so very much Sarah! We corrected the printables. We were not able to correct the Pinterest graphic or our framed photo – but we are so grateful that you took the time to let us know of our mistake!
