If you have been following us for any length of time you probably aren’t surprised by our color choice for our Thanksgiving Tablescape. We are definitely having a moment with copper and blue. So far we have created Copper Mercury Glass Votives, Copper Framed Place Cards and a Copper Globe. Let’s just say, if it’s not moving – it’s going to be painted copper!

We are so happy to be teaming up with 18 other design bloggers to showcase Thanksgiving tablescapes. Be sure to visit each design at the end of this post. A giant thank you to Amanda from Life on the Bay Bush  and Sabrina from Meet our Life for putting this group together

When it comes to creating holiday tablescapes, the bar was set very high in our family. Our mother/grandmother Barbara was the consummate hostess when it came to entertaining family and friends. She instilled in us the importance of making people feel special and loved when they accept an invitation to our homes.

This year we wanted our Thanksgiving tablescape to be pretty, shimmery, casual and elegant all at the same time.

Our copper placemats are made from copper shelf paper that was leftover from Jenn’s copper shelf in her master bedroom closet makeover. We simply rolled it out and cut pieces to place under the chargers.

We like to mix and match our place settings with what we already own while adding a couple of new finds. The blue and white salad plates are definitely favorites. They were purchased several years ago on clearance at HomeGoods.

Did you get a chance to see our clay place card tags? We wrapped them around these checked napkins that we found at the Dollar Spot at Target. We tucked pieces of fragrant thyme behind each place card.

We gave into temptation when we saw these beautiful copper stemmed wine glasses at TJMaxx. We knew that they would look fabulous on our table and for $1.99 each we just couldn’t pass them up! And that extra large copper candle in the middle? On clearance at Target for $3.00!

Copper votives are tucked into the table greenery and eucalyptus. We picked up the lucious leaves in the floral department at the grocery store…3 bunches for $5.00! Total sidenote…they last a long time.

These pale blue-green guords have been another favorite decor item this Fall. We bought these way back at the beginning of September and they are still as fresh as they they were purchased. Definitely the biggest bang for our buck.
