Here’s an awesome end of Summer cocktail that is fresh and light. This cocktail is great for a warm Summer night before the cooler temps of Fall arrive.

Today marks the last day of our Room by Room Summer Showcase, which we have loved being a part of. We hope you’ve loved following along too as we share a little bit of each of our homes. We’ve loved taking you on a little home tour each week! We thought the perfect way to end this series was with a tour of the she shed, one of our favorite DIY projects. And of course an awesome end of Summer cocktail too. You can click HERE to see what the she shed looked like before. Also, a big thank you to Amy of My Life From Home for hosting this wonderful Summer showcase.

When I bought this home a couple of years ago, I knew I could do something great with the storage shed in the backyard. It’s about 200 square feet, so pretty spacious. We had been using it as storage, but it was time to create a special space in the backyard. It was a lot of hard work, but we converted the storage shed into a she shed in about 5 weeks and we were incredibly happy with the end result. Such a beautiful space with some farmhouse and vintage style. It’s also the perfect spot to entertain and enjoy that end of Summer cocktail…or any cocktail!

We painted the entire space white to brighten it up. Then added some farmhouse touches and painted furniture. A lot of the items that are in the shed, are things we already had, but didn’t have space for them in our home.

This table was already in the shed, lucky for us! All we had to do was stain it a weathered gray.

Here is the recipe for the perfect end of Summer cocktail that is refreshing and you can still enjoy for the next few weeks. Plus, it is sooo easy to make.

Southbound Greyhound Cocktail

  • 2 Parts Deep Eddy Ruby Red Vodka
  • 1 Part Club Soda
  • Garnish with Lemon or Lime

And that’s it! So easy to make. Just a warning that it tastes just like grapefruit juice, so be careful haha.
