DIY Glass Etched Bottles

Not only was this a fun and easy project, it is also good for our planet. Recycle glass bottles of any kind – bright green and blue look the prettiest. Affiliate links included for your convenience. Simply using a stencil and etching cream you can create beautiful self-watering garden planter bottles.

This is especially perfect for when you are traveling out of town or live in a very hot area. Your plants will be watered while you are away.

  • Water your potted plants well.
  • Fill etched bottles with water.
  • Turn bottles upside down (one for each pot) and place the neck of the bottle into the soil.
  • As the soil dries, the bottle will begin to self-water your plants.
