In case you forgot or this is your first time here, I love succulents. Jenn and I are always on the lookout for fun and creative succulent planter ideas. If you have been following us for awhile then you have already seen a few of our succulent planter ideas.

Why this mild obsession? Succulents come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes and they are so easy to take care of. You can even slightly neglect them and they lovingly forgive you. They just need a little bit of watering or misting once a week and interior daylight.

Vintage Tea Tin

Typically our succulents are always paired with vintage goodness. How adorable is this vintage tea tin? A few small holes were made in the bottom of the tin. Rich soil, a hearty succulent and a bit of water were added. That’s it!

Here you can see where I misted the plant.

So happy that the hinged lid is still intact too.

Amazingly this tin is really more antique than vintage. After doing some research it appears to be from the early 1920’s. The colors and graphics are so bright and beautiful all these years later.

Don’t you think it’s a shame that we won’t really be leaving any antiques for the future? We are pretty much a recycling or throwaway society. Even plastic drinking bottles collapse and fall apart before we can even place them in the recycling bin 🙂

The vintage tin looks so pretty paired with my favorite cobalt blue bottles too!
