We hope y’all had a wonderful Fourth of July! If you joined us last week, you know that we are doing a new Summer Series called Room by Room hosted by our friend Amy from My Life from Home. For the next several weeks, we’ll be showcasing a new room in our home along with many of our design blogger friends. Today we are so excited because it is all about our kitchens!

When we were going through the list of the rooms we’d be showcasing, Mom was pretty eager to say that I needed to share my Victorian farmhouse kitchen. I’ve shared my kitchen mantel before, but I have never shared my entire kitchen. Why? I’m honestly not 100% sure. I guess it is just one area that I always wanted to be perfect before sharing. It may not be exactly where I want it to be, but it’s pretty close. Here is my Victorian Farmhouse Kitchen:

We were so lucky when we moved into our Victorian home and didn’t really need to do much with the kitchen. The house was built in 1901 and the previous owner had painted the cabinets white. The Realtor wasn’t quite sure, but thought some of the cabinets were original to the house. They had also installed the granite countertops, which are a nice lighter color. One thing we did install was the subway tile to give it more of a farmhouse/vintage design. We opted to use a smaller subway tile with gray grout, which we absolutely love!

We got a great deal on these farmhouse stools last year, which you can get HERE.

My kitchen can never be complete without hydrangeas. I kind of have them all over the house haha! Also, isn’t this “Farmers Market” tray cute? Another great find from the Target dollar spot.

I do like little pops of color in the kitchen, so I purchased wooden letters from Michael’s and painted them in Annie Sloan Aubusson Blue chalk paint to spell “EAT”. An easy and inexpensive craft.

This is probably my favorite corner in my kitchen. It’s just so bright and happy. I got this adorable sign from Jo-Ann Fabrics on sale.

Isn’t this bread board awesome? Got it from one of my favorite antique stores in the area for a bargain. I also love the vintage style of the large measuring cup I use to house my utensils.

I lucked out with the Rae Dunn “Spread” butter dish on a visit to HomeGoods. I couldn’t pass it up!

Since this is a Victorian home, there are several fireplaces throughout the house, like this one in the kitchen. It definitely gives it an even more farmhouse feel. One of my favorite pieces is this wooden map from World Market that was a gift from a friend. You can get your own HERE.

We are very lucky to have this kitchen and when we have company, most of our time is spent in here. It is just such an inviting space.

That kitchen is beautiful! And it looks like it would be a pleasure to spend a lot of time there. Love the fall decor, especially the fruits and tree pot. I was wondering if you could share the dimensions of your space, please? I am considering putting an addition to our small home, with a lovely eat-in farmhouse kitchen and I really like the feel of yours. Thank you.
