Tiered Tray Decor for Spring and Easter

Do y’all think that time is flying by as quickly as I do? Just typing the word “Easter” in this post title kind of made me suck in my breath.

My life is a tad chaotic right now…dad will be in the rehabilitation hospital for another 7 weeks…I find myself craving nature and color. Typically these two things lift my spirits and recharge my energy. Personally, I have learned the hard way that in stressful times I must put myself first. Taking care of my own health and wellbeing is super important for me and the people that depend on me.

  • Resting, even though it feels lazy. I take one day to myself to do absolutely nothing. I’ve named this “Sloth Day” and it feels fabulous.
  • Light yoga and deep breathing exercises. Instant calming factor.
  • Getting together with family and friends – whether it be in person or by phone. Laughter really is the best medicine!
  • Being outdoors. Admiring the visiting cardinals to my porch. Welcoming the new blooms to the azaleas and dogwoods. Appreciating nature is the perfect way to slow down and discover renewed energy. I think this is how the quote “Stop and smell the roses” came to be :)

When I thought about decorating my tiered tray I instantly knew that I wanted it to be nature inspired.

The first thing I added was fresh green moss.

On the top tier I placed a bird’s nest found in nature. Nestled inside of the nest is this cute wool bird and a feather.

Cost Saving Tip #1

I found this garland of colorful gold leaf Easter eggs for just $3.00 at Target. There is no way that I could have bought all of the materials to DIY this myself for that cost. By cutting the string the eggs were easily removed and then used individually in decor. The turquoise eggs are tucked into the three. tiers.

Flowering plants meant for outdoor landscaping can be used indoors. On a recent garden center visit these gorgeous purple Lithodora were on the clearance shelf for just $1 each.  I love how they trail down the container. They were transplanted to colorful containers to use for Spring and Easter. In a couple of weeks I will take them outdoors and plant them at our front sidewalk.

Each wasp nest was found in nature too. Do you remember how I gave these bunnies a chalk painted makeover last year? You can see that post HERE.

The third tier has a chalk painted bunny and a piece of bark found outside of my home.
