As soon as our weather chills the soup pot makes its appearance in the kitchen. Soup is eaten in my home at least twice a week if not more. Not to sound like a braggart, but I consider myself to be a pretty good cook. The other day it was extra chilly outside and I was craving a flavorful soup. After a quick peek into my pantry I pulled out the makings for what I hoped would be a tasty soup. My recipe for Italian tomato soup was born!
Our family loves practically anything Italian…the food, the people, the country and the lifestyle that they represent. Honey Bee is of Italian decent which means that Jenn is too. Personally I love most foods that are tomato based, such as sauces, soups and salads. This soup is now going to be my favorite go-to comfort food of the season.

Can I be completely honest with you? For me it doesn’t even have to be cold outside, I love to eat soup year round. It’s a meal in a bowl, and there are usually lots of leftovers Paired with a salad and some toasty Italian bread is our preferred meal. Oh, and don’t forget the wine!
