Hey y’all…we have definitely been busy bees! We have a lot of projects in the works – spring home tours, seasonal crafts, room makeovers, painted furniture and more!

Other projects have been for clients. We were contacted by “M.E.” to paint a piece of furniture and to do some design work. She and her family recently moved into a new home and decided that with the new space she also wanted a new design style. She wants to transition from a traditional aesthetic to a more relaxed tone paired with farmhouse and industrial elements. You know we were excited and this is right in our wheelhouse.

The first thing we decided to do was paint this great console and give it a makeover. This piece of furniture was free to her and she really waned it changed. We decided to paint it in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® in Old White.

We brought it home and couldn’t wait to get to work! We love that it has the lower base shelf.

We painted two coats of chalk paint followed by some light distressing and two coats of clear wax and one coat of dark wax.

When we delivered it to her home we also did some changes in the foyer entryway. We used items that M.E. already owned and mixed them with items that we procured for this space. The beautiful painting on the right was done by our client. Isn’t she talented?

This rustic weathered wood slat basket looks great on the wall with the magnolia wreath tucked inside.

We have a confession to make. Jenn and I loved this rustic bowl so much that we each purchased one for ourselves too! We added moss balls, twigs and vines for dimension and color. Nature inspired elements always make us happy.

This shade of green is so pretty – we couldn’t resist buying it for the console base shelf.

We added rustic wood pieces as well as this cerulean blue demijohn bottle.

We also made over the interior entry way and will share more of this space with you later.

We are thrilled with the progress and transformation of this console and foyer wall. More importantly so was our client! We can’t thank her enough for the opportunity!

Until Monday…
