Hey y’all…are you confused with all of the mantels yet? Lucky Jennifer has four amazingly gorgeous mantels in her 1901 Victorian home. I am happy with the one and only mantel that I have in my house. If you read yesterday’s post then you already saw the decorative Tin Ceiling Artwork that is the centerpiece on the wall of my fireplace.

After the art piece was complete the rest of my Fall mantel decor just fell into place. Don’t you just love when things come together organically? Nothing forced, just a natural evolution.

My Fall mantel last year was an explosion of color…and I loved it. But this year my taste is more subdued. When I was down in the basement discovering the tin art piece, I literally stumbled on a box of these beautiful vintage amber bottles.

We used them for Jenn’s wedding reception last year. They are in different shapes and sizes. I grabbed several of my favorites and brought them upstairs. The centerpiece on the mantel is the vignette I created with the Cornhusk and Feather Votives.

But the star of the show (in my humble opinion) is the tin art. Isn’t she pretty?

I wanted to use a lot of natural elements too. I love my gourd collection. Last year I showed y’all how I stained gourds and they last forever. I have had most of these gourds for over 15 years…they are durable and strong.

I brought out this Arthur Wood pottery pitcher and filled it with dried wheat.

These sienna colored berries are some of my favorites.

Feathers are so pretty and special to me. There are never any two exactly alike.

  2. Vicki, I LOVE your mantel and you’re right the tin is definitely the star but I do love how you added the beautiful gourds and pretty amber bottles along with all your other features and candles. Sooo so pretty. xo Lisa

  3. This is so pretty! I love how organic and earthy everything looks. Great job on this lady. That painted tin is blowing my mind. Hugs, CoCo

  4. this IS really gorgeous – I love the vintage tin and I know how difficult that can be to find! I love the stained gourds too, but MY eye is immediately drawn to the architectural salvaged piece hanging above it all!
