A $10 Thrifted Table Gets a Makeover

A $10 Thrifted Table Gets a Makeover - with homemade chalk paint, distressing and a coat of wax

Remember last week when I told you that I was happy to paint furniture again…I wasn’t kidding! This little side table has been waiting for a makeover for several months now and I was finally able to give it to her!

This is the perfect type of side table – it is small and can fit in most rooms of my home. A very cute and versatile table. This is what she looked like when I bought her…

But the price was definitely right at $10.A $10 Thrifted Table Gets a Makeover - with homemade chalk paint, distressing and a coat of waxHere’s one more shot – this is the closest that I could photograph the true color…Yuck!

A $10 Thrifted Table Gets a Makeover - with homemade chalk paint, distressing and a coat of waxI was so happy to get to work. I wanted this table to be creamy white and I used our homemade recipe for chalk paint.

I’m not quite sure yet which room she is going to go in, but I wanted you to see how pretty she is…

Vicki, I LOVE your thrifted table and the makeover is amazing. What a difference some paint can make. The spindle legs are so beautiful so it’s a charmer for sure. So glad you’re painting and LOVE the way this turned out. It looks great there by your stairway too. xo Lisa

Hey Amy – thank you so much! That 70’s avacado just wasn’t cutting it for us. We have had great success with homemade chalk paint and it is a definite money saver!
