We don’t know about you, but we love the bargain books section at Barnes & Nobles. Not only have we found great cookbooks and novels that are great deals, but we have also found amazing coffee table books there as well. I am currently in the process of zhushing up my living room and was in desperate need of some more artwork. I already had two great white frames, but had nothing that I could put in them. I had old prints in them from my last home, which I loved, but they unfortunately didn’t fit the decor of my home now.
I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg for new artwork, so I immediately thought of Barnes & Nobles and hoped that they had a great book I could use with awesome prints. And lucky for me they did! I love photography and this book of Ansel Adams’ photographs was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.
There were some really great photographs that I know I will use in the future for other rooms.
I loved this one, but Kara thought it was a little creepy.
I just used an exacto knife and cut as close to the seam of the book as possible.
Then I added them to the frames and absolutely love how they turned out! This project only cost me $13 and only took about 20 minutes to do. You can’t beat that
Now they’re both hanging in my living room, which is just about done. Just adding all of the final touches.
The photographs definitely fit in perfectly with our house and I can’t wait to use some of the others in other rooms. You should definitely check out your bookstore to see what hidden gems are waiting for you. It’s a great way to get affordable art work
