I have loved being able to recap my trip to Ireland, as it has offered me more chances to reflect on my incredible and crazy tour around the country.  It has also given me a chance to share my love with you of such a beautiful, natural, and picturesque land.

On my 14 day journey, where I believe I visited 24 counties out of 32 (crazy, I know!), I was able to visit the Galway and Connemara regions, which I had never been to before. And like most of Ireland it did not disappoint in its beauty or its culture.

One of the highlights was getting to see where an infamous scene in The Quiet Man takes place, which is pictured below.  My mom knew instantly what this was from!

Who would have thought that the water could look like this in Ireland?  The blue looks like something from the Caribbean.

I had also been extremely excited to drive on Sky Road, which offers spectacular views and is truly one of the best coastal drives in Ireland.

We drove down a very, very narrow road to get a closer look of the view we just had from Sky Road. (And when I say it was narrow, one car could barely fit on the road, let alone two at a time.)

Another really great activity we got to do was take a boat out to an island where there was a ruined building.  Now there are tons of ruins in Ireland, but what was really special about this one was that it had belonged to Grace O’Malley, the Pirate Queen.  If these walls could talk…

This is me having fun at Ashford Castle…

And this is me making new friends in Ireland (which is easy to do!)

Overall my trip to the Emerald Isle was incredible and definitely an experience I will never forget.  Not many people can say that they have done what I got to do, and for that I am extremely thankful and grateful.
